CORSALI Club (“us”, “our”, “we”) understand that disclosing Personal Information involves significant trust. We value and respect your trust. As collecting Personal Information from you is necessary in order to operate CORSALI Club’s functions and services, we make it a high priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the Personal Information you provide to us.
Our privacy practices have been structured to comply with Privacy Laws, specifically the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its 13 privacy principles, in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information obtained from individuals using and accessing our services and our website.
Please carefully read this Privacy Policy to learn about our privacy practices. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time in the future. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the 4th of February, 2023. By using our services, and by visiting our website, you are accepting the practices described herein.
2. Personal Information we collect from you
2.1 General
In order to become a Member, you will be required to have a profile containing your Personal Information (including your first name(s). Your membership profile can either be created by you, or you can provide us with your Personal Informationso that we can make a membership profile on your behalf and then send the draft membership profile back to you for your approval.
We also store any Personal Information and other information that you enter on our website or give us by other means. This includes Personal Information that can identify you as an individual including but not limited to your first and last name(s), telephone number(s), postal and email address(es), fax number(s), and billing information (such as credit card number(s), cardholder name(s), and expiration date(s)).
When you request to Book a Stay with a Host Member, we will share your membership profile directly with the Host Member you are requesting to Book a Stay with. Therefore, while you can choose not to provide all requested Personal Information to CORSALI Club, in general some Personal Information is required to be obtained from you in order for you to use our services and/or content.
2.2 Travel Companion Personal Information
There may be circumstances where we request Personal Information about the Guest Members family, guests and/or invitees. If you are providing the Personal Information of a third party, you must obtain the consent of the individual(s) prior to providing us with their Personal Information and you must ensure that the individual(s) have read and consent to this Privacy Policy. Any access to view or change Personal Information of your travel companion(s) will be available through your account.
2.3 Automatic collection of information
We may automatically collect some information about your computer when you visit our website. For example, we may collect your IP address, Web browser software (such as Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer), and referring website. We also may collect information about your online activity on our website, such as trips viewed and bookings made. Our goals in collecting this automatic information include helping customise your user experience and inhibiting fraud.
3. Accuracy of Personal Information
We undertake not to use or disclose your Personal Information without first taking steps that are, in the circumstances, reasonable to ensure that the Personal Information is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant, and not misleading.
4. Using your Personal Information
4.1 We use sensitive billing information (such as cardholder name(s), credit card number(s), and expiration date(s)) and disclose such information to Third-party Business Partners and Third-Party Vendors for the purpose of the payment of any costs and/or fees by you, including for any requested services and content we provide you as part of you being a Member.
4.2 We use other Personal Information about you for the following general purposes:
4.2.1 to provide you with the content and services you request.
4.2.2 to provide you with Booking confirmation and updates.
4.2.3 to manage your account, including processing bills and providing notifications.
4.2.4 to communicate with you in general.
4.2.5 to respond to your questions and comments.
4.2.6 to notify you about special offers and products or services that may be of interest to you.
4.2.7 to otherwise customise your experience with us.
4.2.8 to resolve disputes, collect fees, or troubleshoot problems on our website.
4.2.9 to prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities.
4.2.10 to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4.2.11 as otherwise described to you at the point of collection.
4.3 By providing your Personal Information to us, you consent to the use of your Personal Information as described.
5. Sharing your Personal Information
5.1 We may share your Personal Information:
5.1.1 with other Members. We will share your Personal Information, including your membership profile and your contact details, with other Members when a Booking is made and to facilitate a Stay. Please note that Members also may contact you as necessary to obtain additional Personal Information about you, facilitate your Bookings and/or Stays, or respond to a review you may submit.
5.1.2 with Third-party Vendors. We may also authorise Third-party Vendors to collect Personal Information on our behalf, including as necessary to operate features of our website. Third-party Vendors have access to and may collect Personal Information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the Personal Information for any other purpose.
5.1.3 with Third-party Business Partners. You can tell when a Business Partner is involved in a product or service you have requested because their name will appear, either alone or with ours. Please note that we do not control the privacy practices of these Third-party Business Partners. Therefore, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any such Third-party Business Partners.
5.1.4 with Referring Websites. We may share some Personal Information with Referring Websites. We have not placed limitations on the Referring Websites’ use of your Personal Information and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any Referring Website that referred you here.
5.1.5 in response to court orders or other legal process.
5.1.6 to establish or exercise our legal rights and as otherwise required by law.
5.1.7 when we believe it is appropriate to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities.
5.1.8 to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of CORSALI Club or our website, our customers, or others;
5.1.9 in connection with our Terms and Conditions and other agreements.
5.1.10 in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
5.1.11 as otherwise permitted by applicable Privacy Laws.
5.2 Other than as set out above, you will be notified when Personal Information about you will be shared with third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to have us share such Personal Information.
5.3 We also may share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and investors. For example, we may tell our advertisers the number of visitors our website receives or the most popular accommodation. This information does not contain any Personal Information.
5.4 We will only disclose Personal Information to another organisation outside New Zealand if the receiving organisation:
5.4.1 is subject to the Privacy Act because they do business in New Zealand;
5.4.2 will adequately protect the Personal information; or
5.4.3 is subject to privacy laws that provide comparable safeguards to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, but if none of the above three criteria apply, we will only make a cross-border disclosure withthe permission of the individual concerned.
5.5 By providing your Personal Information and other information to us, you consent to the disclosure of your Personal Information and other information as described above.
6. Your access to your Personal Information
We will, on request, provide you with access to the Personal Information we hold about you, unless there is an exception which applies under applicable Privacy Laws. Your request to provide access to this Personal Information will be dealt with in a reasonable time. You have the right to ask us to correct Personal Information if you think it is wrong.
7. Your choices with respect to collection and use of your Personal Information
7.1 As discussed above, you can choose not to provide us with any Personal Information, however it may be needed in order to become a Member.
7.2 You can add or update your Personal Information.
7.3 You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from any newsletter emails you receive from us. Please note that we reserve the right to send you other communications, including service announcements and administrative messages, relating to your Membership, offers and any other related transactions or content on our website, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

8.1 Cookies are small data text files and can be stored on your computer’s hard drive (if your Web browser permits). This website uses cookies for the following general purposes:
8.1.1 To help us recognise your browser as a previous visitor and save and remember any preferences that may have been set while your browser was visiting our website.

For example, only authorised employees are permitted to access Personal Information, and they may only do so for permitted business functions.

14. Definitions
“Booking” refers to the reservation made at a property right up to the time of the guest arriving to the property.
“Guest Member” means the Member with a confirmed booking authorising them to visit and stay at the property of a Host Member.
“Host Member” means the Member owning an approved property(ies) that is being visited by a Guest Member with a confirmed booking.
“Member”or "you" means the person named as the applicant on a CORSALI Membership application form and who has been admitted to CORSALI Club, is current as to all CORSALI’s Fees, agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and relevant policies and who’s Membership has not been suspended, terminated or revoked.
“Personal Information” means information about an identifiable individual.
“Privacy Laws” means any legislation or regulations that apply to CORSALI Club from time to time in force in New Zealand (as applicable to you) affecting privacy, or the collection, handling storage, processing, use or disclosure of personal data.
“Referring Websites” means third-party websites that referred you to our website (for example, through a link you clicked on another website that directed you to this one).
“Stay” refers to when Guest Members are actually at the property of a Host Member.
“Third-party Business Partners” means those with whom we may jointly offer products or services, or whose products or services may be offered on our website.
“Third-party Vendors” means third-parties who provide services or functions on our behalf, including credit card processing, business analytics and fraud prevention.
